Horton is 14 weeks old now and weighs close to 35 lbs. He will be extra large dogs when full grown so will require a home that can accommodate a dog over 100 lbs and an owner that has experience handling a dog that size. His mom is an 80lb German Shepherd. We are not sure of his father but there is probably husky in his mix. As with any puppy housetraining is a work in progress and his future home will need to be committed to his training.
Horton is a sweet and social puppy who has the to grow into a wonderful dog. Potential adopters will have to agree to taking him to obedience school so he can continue to be socialized and learn manners before he get too big to handle. We will also be looking for a home where somebody can be home at least a portion of the day.
Puppies require a lot of time and energy. They can’t be left in a crate for more than 3-4hrs during the day at this point. Horton is a vocal dog to get attention. He likes to growl when playing. He likes to cry when he doesn’t get his way. His drama performance is Oscar worthy. He loves to learn and loves to please. He will be a joy to train but requires a home who is committed to his training.
