Hello friends!
My foster parent often joke that my official name is Gordon, but please call me Gordie. I am believed to be about 8 years old. Trust me, I don’t act my age!
You see, I came from a home that was not kept clean and safe. When I was rescued, I promised I would simply live life to the fullest! Going outside for walks is my favourite activity. I am working on my leash manners. I tend to pull quite a lot. I just want to go and explore the whole world! Can you blame me? I also love car rides and smelling the fresh spring air through the window. Oh, and meal time! I am currently on a raw diet… I just lick my bowl clean every single time. I sleep right in my foster parents’ bed. They say I am just like a living teddy bear.
I am currently being fostered with three other dogs. I generally get along with all of them, but do sometimes give them a low growl when they are in my space. My foster parents are teaching me to share their affection and my comfy seat on the couch during movie nights. I am such a smart, gentle boy. They are not worried; I am a fast learner.
What do I not like you ask. Cats. Squirrels. Small critters. I love chasing them though, if that counts? Does it?
I am overall very healthy. I used to be heartworm positive, but I am all clear now. I will have to be on a preventative for the next year, just to make sure my heart can be as healthy as it is loving!
In short, I am a happy, quirky, cuddly boy who’s motto is Carpe Diem!
