Bowie

Bowie has been adopted!

Bowie – sponsored by Roz B. In honour of Christine Ramsey. Thank you for all you do for Save Me and special thanks for her huge part in Bowie’s hopeful future.

This sweet young guy was found stray and in distress. After being examined, it appeared as though Bowie had been hit by a car and suffered a broken pelvis. The Ohio shelter that found him, contact us to assist and once confirmed we were in a financial position to assist, he went straight to surgery to have his hip repaired.

Bowie has had several weeks of intense rehab; regular medication, joint movement, assisted walking, and ice compresses. He is now able to walk on his own and is pain medication. He is still on restricted activity, no playing, jumping or running for this guy, but he does regular walks throughout the day to strengthen his back end.

He is a little love bug and prefers to be close to his caregivers. He seems a little leery of the other foster dogs in his home, and with his restrictions it’s hard to assess right now, if a home with or without other dogs would be preferred. He’s quiet, sleeps through the night and eats well. He walks well on a leash and enjoys being out in the fresh air.

Bowie is in rehab, and is not accepting applications. It is difficult to truly assess his behaviour, likes and dislikes while restricted to a penned area. Once he completes his rehab, his bio will be updated and applications will be accepted.
