Bandit

Bandit has been adopted!

Sponsored by Heather, in memory of our dogs Daisy and Mardi that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge

Meet Bandit, the sweetest old man with the biggest puppy eyes!

Bandit was found roaming the streets after what is believed to have been hit by a car. He was brought to the shelter not using his front leg at all and very sick. He was sent to Canada to have the best possible chance of recovering and living his best life. Arriving in Canada, he was taken for x-rays to assess the extents of his injuries. His elbow is injured and will require surgery. Otherwise, he seems to have avoided any other major injuries and is slowly regaining his strength. Despite all of this, he is absolutely wonderful.

He is slowly learning how to navigate stairs on 3 legs, he has a strong spirit. He really wants to play with the resident dogs, his body just won’t let him right now. With time and healing after his surgery, he will just take off and be the greatest dog.

He loves everyone and has even started giving kisses. Although he only has 3 good legs, he will bolt if he gets a chance and he’s fast. He rides well in the car, and sleeps quietly all night. He is very quiet and mellow and just wants to be close to someone.

He has a lot of love to give and we can’t wait to see him shine once he’s fully recovered.

Bandit was lovingly adopted by his foster family!
