Emily has been adopted!
Sponsored by Auntie Julie, with love to Grace.
Not only are Emily’s looks unique she is a rare sort of pooch who’s is always happy. Her heart is enormous and her ability for devotion is practically bottomless. This girls tail is always wagging and “nothing can bring her down” because she is happy, happy, happy!
She is quiet during the day in her crate when her foster family is out. She is house trained and will whine and circle at the door when she needs to go outside. She loves her walks around the neighborhood and she is excellent on a leash. She always meets and greets any person she can on her walks and people always say “She is so friendly and gentle”. Her foster mom says yep, she is a little “Wal-Mart greeter gal”.
She sleeps through the night in the master bedroom in her dog bed and is content in the great room on her dog bed when the family settles in to watch a bit of TV or read the newspaper. She has not attempted to jump up on any furniture. During dinner time, she rests nicely on her dog bed and never attempts to beg for food. She is a playful girl, that loves her toys, playing fetch and simply goofing around with her family. A totally fenced in backyard is something that Emily needs (even if it is a small one) as she loves to chase leafs, the birds, rabbits or simply lie in the sun.
Her foster family has begun some basic training with her – particularly sit. She knows her name, so the ‘come’ command is easy for her. She needs some patience and practice in meeting new dogs. She has a good appetite and is very treat motivated which would be helpful when her forever family begins obedience training with her.
Emily’s ideal home will be one where she can be the only pet as she prefers all of the snuggles, toys and playtime with her people for herself. With her good manners, social personality and playful attitude, Emily will fit into almost any family very easily.
